Should I do B.Tech CSE through lateral entry after Diploma CSE? How are the placements?
I’m currently doing a Diploma in Computer Science and I’m confused about what to do after finishing it.
I’m considering joining B.Tech CSE through lateral entry (direct 2nd year).
For people who have taken lateral entry after a Diploma:
Is B.Tech CSE worth doing after Diploma CSE?
Are lateral-entry students eligible for the same campus placements as regular B.Tech students?
Do companies treat lateral-entry students differently during placements?
How are the placements generally?
Is it better to do B.Tech or start working after the diploma and build skills?
What skills should I learn during the 3 years to get a good software job?
I’m mainly interested in software development/cybersecurity and want to build a strong career in tech.
Would appreciate advice from people who have actually done Diploma → B.Tech lateral entry.
