Sunderland needs improved services as well as more high-speed services
Despite Sunderland being a major-ish city,the amount of trains it gets is pretty small compared to over places in the country with a similar amount of recognition/size/population.
The annoying thing is the train station is shared with the metro and is situated on a generally slow line which therefore makes it hard to have frequent high speed trains serve the station,
It would be nice if there was a branch from the ECML near Chester-Le-Street and or Durham so we could see easier access to HS trains
