I installed the Hayward skimmer and want to install the return jet

I went to my pool supply store and was told to add the clarifier. I did and ran thr pump but water still looks cloudy. Completed a test kit at home and my ph is too high but was told its within range. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello all! Trying to stabilize my water and clean it up. I've tried to balance it out with pool calculator and chemicals. Its been 24 hours and been running the pump and the water looks relatively the same. I've added baking soda, chlorine and ph decreaser but not sure if im correct in my measurements. My skimmer looks full of algae - I have not added clarifier - should I?

I've added pictures of my test kit results and would some assistance in balancing the water.

What should be my next steps? Backwash or vacuum? Leave the pump running?

Hello all! I want to thank this sub for the help ive received so far. I truly appreciate it. Yet with that I get more and more ideas. Next is the skimmer! I have a round skimmer that does inside but im adding the Hayward skimmer. Question - do I eliminate the drain on the rightand use that hose for the skimmer? (I drew the possible skimmer location in red) Or do I add another hose and add it to the current setup like in this video I saw (still image on the right - all white hoses/drains)? Not sure how it would affect flow or drain.

I purchased this T shut off valve but it doesn't fit- it's the same size of the hose - do I purchase a smaller one or do I need to just force the hose on? I purchased a smaller one to verify but again, Im probably ignoring a simple solution but appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!
