My headcanon is that those two are connected
Sword of the sea is the world of the dead and the gods. Could be the place Mithrix and Providence came from.
Not to mention that the fire snake Tor Namun (final boss of sots) is similiar to the magma worms.
And you know the story of the brothers with the whole worm thingy.
Also somewhat similiar architechture and all the other things like the statues.
With the whole theming of sword of the sea with the circle of life, fire vs water we can imagine how other entities like the brothers could fullfill roles of order and chaos.
Its just fun spotting coincidences in these games and imagining how both could be part of the same universe. ^^
