Visual Rock comp tips
I know I'll be sad to see people not doing my fave style justice, so I'll do what I can and just hope someone hears me out
Visual rock/visual kei is rad, expressive, and ALTERNATIVE
It's gothic, punk, emo; it's chokers and leather, but weirdly not very sexualized, so I wouldn't recommend just putting your models in straight up underwear
It's so full of gender expression it just transcends it and any of its boundaries, it says wear dresses with belts and chains and boots, it says wear skirts with pants
Bright hair colours or, at the very least, hairstyles that are doing too much are welcome
And also if you can, go all-in with makeup. You can't do too much makeup in v-kei. There's no such thing as too much makeup in v-kei.
