Evening of 05/19, was finishing a sunset hike at canyon overlook when the accident happened. Another hiker said they saw someone drive off the road just before the final switchback heading east into the tunnel, and called EMS. The police closed the road, said it would take them through the night to do what they needed to do, and made us drive 2.5 hours around the park to get back to our hotel in Springdale.
