Manipulative Dumbledore is mad because Harry, and his friends, and painfully shy and can barely even talk to another person.
Dumbledore sighed. This... this was a huge problem. It was his own fault really, it made sense at the time, putting Harry with the Dursleys. Now, looking back on it, putting Harry in a family that hated magic was a bad idea. Of course he'd end up like this. He was pathetic.
Harry was horribly anxious. Couldn't even talk to the boy he sent to spy on him in the carriage! Although, he had striked up a friendship with Ron Weasley. His family were poor, he could probably pay them to spy on Harry for him. He also striked up a friendship with the Longbottom boy and a muggle-born named Hermione.
Though, strangely enough, all of them were like Harry. Not in the sense that they were all first years. No, in the fact they were terribly shy.
Neville made sense, he heard the rumors of him being a Squib early on and being a pure-blood family, his cousins would definitely say, or do, something to prove he's magic. He could also imagine why Ron's like it, having 5 older brothers, and then a younger sister couldn't have been easy to stand out. Hermione, being a muggle-born, he had no idea but a quick letter to her parents would figure that out.
Either way, it was annoying. Harry needed to be brave to face Voldemort one day, and he's far from it now. Maybe forcing him to join the Quidditch team would help.
