Cuckoo
my birdhouse held an empty nest, so i can confirm no chicks were driven Cuckoo by my pickin
just a bite of a June Apple
when the open mic came to a close and i was finding my way to my banjo case, a familiar musician by the name of Joe Kezar stopped me in my tracks with his guitar. here's a bite of our June Apple jam :)
Dos Banjos (Live at TJ's Tavern, Oklee, MN 06/11/26)
this was the third and final song for my first open mic set. this night was surely filled with good music, new friends, and immense fun ✨🪕
Taking Water (Live at TJ's Tavern, Oklee, MN 06/11/26)
heres a little clip of the second song i played during my first open mic experience :)
June Apple
June Apples are fast to ripen, tending to tumble from their trees in summer rather than fall. I think this traditional fiddle tune was most likely coined June Apple due to its speedy nature, but my version may be slightly sour, certainly due to pickin it so soon from my song learnin tree. hope you folks don't mind
Wish You Were Here - foggy take
this will definitely be my last video of Wish You Were Here for the foreseeable future. i know i have uploaded this song a couple times, but i liked this take too and wanted to share it!
don't feel like you have to watch another video of me pickin this again, but the lyrics are less butchered and its in the foggy scenery which i loved! biggest downside to me is sadly i captured this one in portrait instead of landscape.
anways if you listen i hope you enjoy :)
Wish You Were Here - full song
Pink Floyd was a foundation of my youth, so, being in their homeland, i dared not to miss the chance to pay tribute in the only way i knew. although i did miss the opportunity to remember the second verse despite listening to this song religiously since my ears earliest years... sigh. que brain damage
i always find it difficult to stay on earth when playing this song as it seems to send my heart and mind adrift in a sea of peaceful bliss and painful sorrow alike. it reminds me to appreciate the good and bad that love bares, and to be thankful of those who were here, are, and will be.
i'm thankful for you <3
wish you were here
when i landed in england i was greeted by an endless land of fog most dense that swept the world around me into a sightless abyss and there i was stranded...
just kiddin folks ;)
though the thought and image it brings to mind tickles me silly, this was actually taken by the english channel some days later from my arrival, on a foggy morn i did so adore, and from this spot you will certainly see more
tiny lil Steam Powered Aereo Port
(pt. 2)
although this was also captured during the turmoils of travel, the bulk of these irksome troubles and trials thankfully seemed to have passed. i am ecstatic to say this trip is now soaring as smooth and steady as a steam powered aeroplane
a selection of banjo pickin spells have officially been cast across the pond in these splendid distant lands, so expect some silly segments of songs (and mistakes most human) to surprise you here over the coming days :)
canceled flights and sleepless nights
with canceled flights, sleepless nights, and troubles of the like, the start of these travels commenced, containing various levels of tiring turbulance most immense. admist the dragging delays i found time and peace of mind in the fargo airport parking lot, pickin tiresome tunes as i watched passing planes fly by.
when i got to london, i held heavier eyes and a bag of time before i could catch a townbound train. naturally after hours of confined discomfort, i finally found some in the only way i knew. tucked away from fellow travelers, i played sleep deprived tunes, unfortunately undocumented until the police came to threaten a fine, which was a galling greet to england that just tickled my side :)
may the fourth be with you and may we nourish hope that the rebellion will prevail over the empire
