Travel advice about Vrindavan (India): how do people who wear prescription glasses deal with the monkeys?

Hi.

I'm planning to visit Vrindavan soon and I've read many stories about monkeys snatching glasses, food, and other items....

The thing is, I wear prescription glasses and can't really function without them. Going without glasses isn't a practical option for me. I could manage, but would be hard.

For those who have visited Vrindavan, especially if you wear glasses: is the risk of monkeys grabbing glasses actually significant, or is it mostly limited to certain areas? Several videos say you should remove yours when walking around, but is not clear if it is everywhere or only inside temples, etc.

Are there particular temples or streets where extra caution is needed?

Thanks!
