I built a native Android app for Hermes Agent – looking for a few testers
Hey everyone,
I've been using Hermes for quite a while now, and at some point I decided to build a proper Android app for it myself.
It's called Mercury.
What it does
- Chat with Hermes, made for a phone screen
- Approve commands with the full context, also right from the notification
- Live status of running work and all workers/subagents on one timeline
- Argus, a small read-only plugin I wrote for Mercury, so you also see what was started from Telegram, the CLI, cron or Kanban
- Voice messages via Whisper on your own server, plus a hands-free mode
It only talks to your own server. No relay, no account, no tracking.

Looking for testers
The app is still in testing and I'm preparing the first release on Google Play. Android comes first.
I'm looking for a few people from the Hermes community who'd like to try it before the public release. You'll need an Android phone and a Hermes server with the dashboard enabled that your phone can reach.
If you're interested, just send me a mail at appdev.trap5@gmail.com or DM me here, and I'll send you a free promo code. The app stays yours afterwards.
Mostly I'm after real-world feedback: what works, what feels weird, what breaks and what's still missing. There's also a built-in feedback button in the app.
I've put a lot of work into this over the last months, so I'm planning to sell it on Google Play at some point... probably as a small one-time purchase (around $6.90, nice, no subscription!). The app itself isn't open source, but it only talks to your own server and doesn't collect anything. Testers get it for free, of course.
Would be really cool to hear what you think :)
