My father,58, was diagnosed with MPAL in feb 2026.

Started on Vincristine and steroids. Reached 1% blast from 34%. On Dasatanib since day 1. Reached mrd negative post administration of Inotuzumab. Been suffering from Diabetes, hypertension & thyroid since 10years and took regular meds. We were told to either go for BMT or on maintenance therapy. Have haplo match with both of sons. Stats presented by doctors- 15% chance of Fatality during BMT given his comorbidities. 40% chance of relapse post BMT. No surety about the timeline. Books tell BMT as the only curative treatment hence doctors say BMT is the best shot.

We took the safer route of maintenance therapy as BMT had immediate risk. Currently only 1 dose/month of Vincristine. Weekly- Methotrexate. Daily -Dasatanib, mercaptopurine. Along with few other antifungal and drugs for existing comorbidities.

Idk if we took the right decision or we should have opted for BMT.

My dad, 58, was diagnosed with Ph+ MPAL in February. Being treated in Chandigarh, India . After 4 months of treatment, we have been given a choice to go for either BMT or maintenance therapy.

He's 58, suffers from hypertension,Diabetes type 2, Thyroid and has experienced 2 episodes of PSVT in last 2 months ( pre existing condition since 10 years had the first episode then)

Physically he's well. Walks. Does all chores. However BMT comes with 15% risk of failure which can lead to Fatality. His BCR :: ABL is still detectable hence doctors say BMT would yield better results in longer term. Edit 2- As of today he's mrd negative Edit: he just has a 50% match at the best with us(sons) We have taken multiple 2nd opinion and all of them had said the same.

We are scared and thus I'm reaching out to this community to understand how are people who went under BMT at that age are doing now?

Do you also know people who have been on maintenance therapy? Under maintenance they will give Dasatanib + VCR

The seating arrangement poster show a different rate and that visible on Tiket.com are expensive and in USD
