Worried about the house move airtag

Long story short I am moving to a different country (I’m in Europe) and following advice on this sub I bought 2nd gen AirTag put one into one of the boxes. The box was packed deep inside the van. I confirmed the driver had an iPhone and warned him there is an AirTag inside. He said no problem and I could see the airtag location and it moved to the moving company warehouse on Friday, exactly like they said it would. The driver said the van would be left in a warehouse till Sunday and a different driver would be picking it up Sunday morning and going to the destination.
The problem is, it’s still showing it’s there despite the moving company telling me it’s been on the move since early hours on Sunday. Its location updates every few hours and keeps showing that same warehouse location.

So my question is - are the moving company lying to me or is somehow the airtag not updating correctly? Does the van chassis act like a faraday cage and block the signal? Maybe the new driver doesn’t have an iPhone and airtag signal is not strong enough to update by random passing cars? What’s going on here? I thought AirTags were supposed to be super precise.

Agency only just now protected my deposit, 9 months after move-in. Am I entitled to compensation?

I gave my tenancy end notice about a week ago. I've only just now received an email from Deposit Protection Scheme saying "Your landlord or letting agent, has started the process of protecting your tenancy deposit with us.". There are next steps outlined in the email. I have moved in here in September 2025. I'm guessing that means they forgot to protect the deposit?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that illegal? Weren't they supposed to register it within 30 days of me moving in?

Should I call them and let them know that I'll be pursuing compensation? How do I start the compensation process? Or were they allowed to do that? What are my rights here?

Can agency refuse to give me landlord's phone number?

Can agency refuse to give me landlord's phone number? They don't want to agree to shorten my notice period so I'd like to speak to landlord directly about this and try and sort this out. They do not want to give me his contact details. Is this legal? Can they do that?

Agency sent me this email when I asked for clarification regarding notice periods since the law has changed. Is their response correct? If I serve notice even a few days after rent is paid (so after the 10th) does that mean I need to pay for 3 months instead of 2? This sounds ridiculous. Why can’t I just serve notice on the 20th May for example and move out by 10th July???

"Under the new legislation that came in from 1st May, tenants are now required to give a minimum of two months’ notice to end a tenancy.

In terms of how the timing works, your notice still needs to align with your tenancy period (which is based on your rent due date):

- As your rent is due on the 10th of each month, your tenancy periods run from the 10th to the 9th

- This means your notice would need to expire on the 9th of a month

So for example:

- If you serve notice on or before 9th June, your tenancy would end on 9th August

- If you serve notice on 12th June, the notice would effectively run from the next tenancy period, meaning it would end on 9th September

So in short, the exact end date depends on when within the rental period notice is served, but it must always give two full months and end in line with the tenancy period.

I hope that helps clarify things, just let me know if you have any questions.
