European 4-in-1, I lost track of ring orientation/pattern… need help fixing a mistake!

Hi everyone! I'm relatively new to chainmaille and I'm currently working on my first bigger piece, starting from a a standard European 4-in-1 weave. As you can see in the picture, at the bottom things got suddenly messed up. The ring positioning doesn't seem to line up correctly anymore, and it feels like the pattern "broke" or flipped. Can anyone tell by looking at the photo where I made the mistake and how I can fix it without undoing the whole piece? Any advice on how to get back on track would be greatly appreciated!

Questions about SWG / ID / AR

Beginner here! I could use some advice.

I’m planning a project using Byzantine weave + captive beads with pearls, and I want everything to be gold colored. I was looking at Chainmail Joe since their anodized aluminum rings seem good, but I’m confused by all the sizing terms (SWG, ID, AR, etc)

I’ll attach a reference photo of what I want the two weaves to look like. I also want the Byzantine weave to have a bit of spacing between the rings rather than looking super tight and compressed. I’ll attach a reference photo showing the kind of spacing/open structure I’m hoping for (circled in the image)
I practiced with handmade 10mm rings and liked that size, so I’d like to stay around there if possible. Ideally I’d also use the same rings for both the Byzantine sections and the captive bead parts (maybe?)

What ring size/specs would you recommend for this kind of look? And is Chainmail Joe a good choice for gold rings? Any advice is greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance! 🖤

My second chainmail piece!

Just wanted to share this, it’s my second time ever creating a chainmail piece and I feel quite proud of it!

Here’s pics (in order) of the front view, side view, focus on the triangular 4in1 weave and the end of the necklace with some more thinner chain

Hi everyone. 🖤 I’ve recently started getting into chainmail jewelry and experimenting with different weaves ( Byzantine mostly ), but I’m still very new to it. One thing I keep running into is that most tutorials seem to only work for very specific ring sizes or wire thicknesses, which makes it hard to follow along.

Does anyone know of any good beginner-friendly resources that explain things more generally, or help you understand how to adapt weaves to different sizes? I’d really appreciate any recommendations 🫶🏻
