PSA: Blue heals are worth more than gold valuables
...and they're more useful too.
Let's do some math:
Blue patch kits retail for 675 credits in the Armory.
One stack of blue patch kits therefore costs 675*6 = 4050 credits.
Gold valuables are worth 12000 credits, taking up four slots.
Gold valuables are therefore worth 3000 credits per slot.
Slot for slot, you'd be better off carrying out 4 stacks of blue patch kits than carrying out one gold valuable and using that money to buy blue patch kits from the Armory.
This isn't even getting into the other factors, such as the fact that carrying the blue patch kits keeps you safer on your way to exfil in-run compared to carrying a gold valuable.
This logic also extends to other things.
- A one-stack of blue valuables is worth 550 per slot.
- A two-stack of blue valuables is worth 1100 per slot.
- A three-stack of blue valuables is worth 1650 per slot.
- Purple valuables are worth 2000 per slot.
Cross-reference that with the cost of things like:
- MIPS rounds are worth 600 per stack.
- Volt Cells are worth 600 per stack.
- Self Revives are worth 800 per stack (and are very limited for purchase).
- Green shield charges are worth 900 per stack.
- Green patch kits are worth 1245 per stack.
- Panacea kits are worth 2625 per stack (and are very limited for purchase).
- Blue shield charges are worth 3600 per stack.
Of course assuming you've fully filled the slot with a max stack of consumables.
There's a few potential takeaways from this. Valuables might be worth too little. Heals and ammo might cost too much. There's been a lot of discussion on the economy for next season. Right now, the most actionable conclusion is first: You should always look to BARTER for your heals and ammo when possible, and second: You shouldn't turn your nose up at exfilling heals you find in-run.
Hope this was educational!
