radiography vs. ultrasound tech: clinicals, schooling, etc.
hello! i just started my first year of radiography tech school and i'm a bit nervous about clinicals. i have healthcare experience, but not much with trauma. i know we do rotations in ER and OR, but i wanted to know what exactly i might see during rotations? i've experienced mild vasovagal reactions before, and while i'm not sure if that would even happen, i think that's part of what's making me nervous.
has anyone experienced vasovagal reactions during clinicals? or could anyone give an idea of what i might see during clinicals?
ultrasound was my first choice. i didn't have the prereqs at the time for the sonography program near me, so i chose radiography. i am wondering if maybe i would like to switch to ultrasound. does anyone have any insight into ultrasound schooling/clinicals? would it be worth switching to ultrasound?
any input or experiences anyone has in either radiography or ultrasound would be very helpful!
thanks so much! 🙂
