Ubuntu 26.04 LTS with Surface Kernel? Yet?

I see that libwacom-surface shouldn't be installed, but how does 26.04 work otherwise? I have an SP7 16G ram. I'm look to see if touchscreen, pen, and auto-rotation work, and does a proper return from sleep/screen lock. Does all that work? I'm thinking no because of libwacom.

Touchscreen after resume SP7 Mint 22.3 Cinnamon

I see some chatter about touch after suspend breaking...

Anyone using Mint 22.3 Cinnamon? It seems to break at least every other time it resumes. Is there some service or daemon I can restart without restarting the whole device? Or is there a fix? If I drop down to 21.3 Cinnamon Mint or another version would that be better? I have the Surface Kernel installed. 6.19.8-surface-3

Off Site Backup in my Shed 350 feet away

I was thinking of backing up about 20TB to a device in my shed, which has power but no HVAC. It's probably a really bad idea, but I was wondering if anyone has done this or something similar, and with which devices? Probably SSD would fare better than a spinning disk, but I would be worried about hot and cold temperatures in the Northeast USA. Thoughts? Or is there a fireproof box that could house a RAID or NAS that could be in my house, be on my network and still be fireproof?

Cuez Rundown & Automator

Hi! Anyone using Cuez Rundown and Automator. Thinking about replacing a NRCS (iNews or ENPS) with Rundown / Storydesk and a Studio Automation (Overdrive or Ignite) with Automator. Using Grass Valley K-Frames/Kayenne, VizRT Graphics, Calrec Audio, EVS Via. Thoughts, concerns, does it work?

Auto upload photos ios

I just setup Nextcloud in a docker container. The Ios app doesn't seem to auto upload photos. Or rather it seems to then a few seconds later they are deleted. I look in Deleted Files in the app and sure enough they were deleted. I can restore and i think they stay.
Anyone else have a similar issue? I'm running ios 26.5

Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS to 26.04 LTS

If I upgrade from Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS to 26.04 LTS, do I need to reinstall the Surface kernel? - Is that even helpful? Doesn't 26.04 have a new kernel? I have a SP 7 (not 7+).

What is the best / inexpensive method of backing up or copying large amounts of data such as tv shows, movies and music off my Raid 1 in order to reuse those same drives in a Raid 5 enclosure?
I’m looking at about 10TB worth.

Hello,

This is a simple Python tool to interrogate your users' Watchlists in Plex. All a user has to do is add something to their Plex watchlist, and the next time this Python runs, it will search and download media. It's not anywhere near as sophisticated as the arr stack, but it does work (most of the time). You can run it manually in Python or perhaps schedule it to run as needed. I did not build a scheduler into this. This is a 1st attempt and probably pretty rough. Feel free to use it for your own purposes. This is for learning and testing only. Use at your own risk. There is no warranty. https://github.com/marqmediaconsultants/Simple_Plex_Watchlist_Integration
