So disappointed to be turned away from a #beenetwork Manchester bus in Stockport this week with my folded Brompton. My wife (no bike) and I were heading home at around 8pm and wanted to travel the 3.5 miles home together on the bus. There were two other passengers downstairs on a double decker bus but the driver insisted that I could only bring the bike "in the bag that it came in".... And refused me access. My wife later checked the Bee Network website which said that a folded bike should be covered (which I could have done with my coat.) I hate to be sarcastic, but so much for promoting integrated active transport 🤔
