what are the good and bad things about Kubuntu to know before switching? i've heard mixed opinions

I'm thinking of switching to linux on my PC, and i wanted something with a lot of customization and i heard that linux mint doesn't work well with KDE plasma, so i'm wondering about debian since i heard that it's good for long-term stability which is also something i want, would it be a good option?

I'm going to get a laptop soon and i'm planning to install linux mint on it, but i was also thinking of switching on my PC too, as i'm currently running windows 11. what i'm mainly looking for is a wide range of customization, and I heard that KDE is good for that, what i'm wondering is which distro is the best if i'm not experienced with linux, but want to get the full customization of KDE?
