This is the first time I consider buying new. I am using Epson 5040UB, still has some value but the cinema filter doesn't work anymore. I am considering a few options: new LS12000 or used JVC NX7. The new LS12000 price seems pretty steep around $5k for an older model. How do you guys usually shop new?

My use is mostly movies & shows, I rarely game on this projector. Room has ambient light, but I only watch at night so it almost blackout.

I have no idea about roofing and this is my first time I need a new roof. I am in Seattle suburb area and need a new roof. I receive the quote as follow (I add the cost of roof + ridge vent so it's easier to compare), and want to get some advice on how to pick, or whether the price make sense. My roof is about 2100 sqft.

These 3 come from a company that is shingle master certified

This is my first time buying a pair of BStock Wharfedale Aura 2 from wharfedaleusa. They sent the package through Fedex and it comes to my attention today that there was an issue with shipping. When I called Fedex, they told me that the box was damaged, but item is good, so they will repack it and deliver me next day. I am very skeptical about their ability to repack or inspect my speakers. Have you run into similar situation? If yes, what did you do? TIA

Update:
Wharfedale told me to refuse delivery. I called and Fedex told me to posted a note, and I did. The driver ignored it, dropped the item. When I tried to run toward his car and tell him to refuse delivery, he accelerates to avoid me. What an experience from Fedex !!

I just want to vent. Earlier today, there was a listing on Marketplace for Monitor Audio Platinum 300 (MK 1) for $500 about 100 miles from my place. I hesitated for a bit because I am not familiar about this line. 30 minutes later, I googled and send the PM right away but the speakers are gone. Whoever gets it get a terrific deal of a lifetime. Congrats!!!! (No idea which flair is good for this).
