Film no. 971 - The last scene made me laugh, what a film! It’s sweltering hot here, my goodness :)) people sweating scene in scene out, let alone chasing after one another. Is summer in Japan that hot? Mifune is so young and handsome but it’s Shimura that delights me the most.

Film no. 970 - Celebrating Ascension Day by screening this on the big screen is quite an experience :) Some of the scenes are truly impressive and moving. The last supper here is definitely my favorite of all last supper scenes, I like it so much I rewatched it a few times.

Film no. 969 - My very first Gremillon, a tragicomedy, love pentangle so I had to pick it first from the boxset :P There is one stunning shot of two of the lovers when Julien running after Michelle in the mines. The costume ball sequence transported me to almost a different film of a different time.
