If results tomorrow aren't what you hoped, here's what resit options actually look like

Results are out tomorrow, and I know for some of you maths might not go the way you wanted. Wanted to post this in advance so you've got it if you need it.

A few things worth knowing if you end up needing to resit: you can resit in November or wait until next summer alongside other subjects, a low grade in maths is really common and doesn't reflect overall ability, it's often specific topic gaps or exam technique rather than the whole subject being a problem, and most people who resit do improve their grade with focused prep.

I tutor GCSE maths (Oxford PGCE, SEN specialism) and work with resit students fairly often. Happy to answer questions in the comments if you're in this position tomorrow, and try not to panic if it happens, it's genuinely more common than people think.
