I'm one of the founders of Yap Room. We're hiring people to have real conversations with a friend or family member through our app. You both get paid $10/hour, every Sunday, via PayPal or direct deposit.
Pay
- $10/hr for you
- $10/hr for your friend (paid separately, no splitting)
- No weekly cap on hours
- Paid every Sunday via PayPal or bank transfer
- No minimum payout amounts
What you do
Getting on a call through Yap Room instead of FaceTime or a regular phone call, and just talking like you normally would. Catching up, venting about work, planning a trip - whatever you'd talk about anyway. The audio collected is used to train and evaluate speech recognition and audio models.
Requirements
- 16+
- Conversations in English
- Phone or laptop with a working mic
- A friend (or family member, partner, coworker - anyone you'd actually want to talk to) who also wants to get paid
Privacy
Names and personal info are automatically removed from recordings before anything is used for training. Don't read out your card number, but our content filter assumes people will mention names, locations, jobs, etc., and scrubs that automatically.
