Cyberpunk Renaissance (2060)- combining RED and 2077

Hey, I was thinking how to play using RED sources and lore, and vibe and mechanics of 2070s CEMK.

The idea is that the Time of the Red is ending. The city is still full of unfinished districts, Combat Zones, and post-war scars, but reconstruction is in full swing. Corporations are returning, the economy is recovering, and technology is rapidly advancing. The things are not as good as in 2077 but not as bad as in RED.

And I will use all the info about the Night City as if it was 2045.

Mechanically I use corebook and CEMK.

Working title- Cyberpunk: Renaissance (2060)

- Has anyone run something similar?
- What would you add to make this transition period feel unique?
- Are there any lore events between RED and 2077 that are worth highlighting?
- Have you created any house rules or changes for this era?
- Are there any fan projects or homebrew settings that explore this period?

Thanks!

What happened to Barcelona and Spain in Cyberpunk universe?

Can’t find a lot of information, and as a person living here I’m interested what would it look like to play or GM a cyberpunk game set in Barcelona. Also I’m interested in how locals see this city and country future in cyberpunk universe.

Does Catalonia separate, what happens to the monarchy…

Any ideas or sources you can recommend?

How do you handle a “future campaign setup” one-shot without predetermined outcomes?

I’m preparing a Cyberpunk RED one-shot that will serve as a bridge between a campaign set in the 2040s and a new campaign set in the 2070s (using the Edgerunners Mission Kit timeline).

The basic premise:
A group of mercs is hired to escort researchers, equipment, and a dangerous test subject to a secret underground laboratory. The facility studies cyberware adaptation, cyberpsychosis, and methods of either controlling or curing cyberpsychotic subjects. The star subject, codenamed “Predator”, is a heavily augmented cyberpsycho used to test the limits of chrome integration and experimental neural stabilization technology.
The session starts as an escort mission, then transitions into facility exploration, interaction with scientists and security staff, a live experiment, a containment breach, and finally a survival horror scenario as Predator escapes and the facility enters lockdown.
The complication is that one of the PCs is intended to potentially appear again in the 2070s campaign. My current idea is that during the chaos he may end up trapped in a cryostasis pod and preserved until the future campaign, where new PCs can discover him.
The problem is that I don’t want the session to feel scripted or railroaded.
I don’t want the players to feel like:
“You just pushed him in the cryopod not giving any options”
I’d prefer the cryostasis outcome to emerge naturally from player choices and circumstances during the final act.

For those who have run similar “prequel” or “bridge” sessions:
- How did you avoid predetermined outcomes?
- How much should players know beforehand?
- Would you tell the player that his PC needs to end up in the pod and not really try to escape the lab?
- How would you design the final act so multiple outcomes remain possible?
- Have you ever had a character disappear for years/decades and return in a later campaign?

I’d appreciate any advice, especially from GMs who have run time skips, legacy campaigns, or horror-style one-shots where a future campaign depends on the outcome.

Any GMs or players in Barcelona?

Hi!

I recently got into Cyberpunk Red and I would like to play it, so I am looking if anyone knows any community, group or game that I could join in Barcelona, Spain?

I have experience playing DnD and I played a few times Cyberpunk Red. I speak english, russian, and some spanish.

Current I can play mostly online, but it really depends on a day and time.
