Premier League Coast to Coast event

Bay Area Leeds fans, anyone going to the Coast to Coast event in San Francisco this weekend? Apparently each premier league club is hosting an ‘event’ in a different city in the US and Leeds naturally chose SF. Does anyone know what to expect from this event? Curious if any former players will be there.

Cheers.

Is leasing a good option for me

I'm new to Tesla but close to pulling the trigger on a new Model 3 Premium RWD. I have a long commute (100mi round trip) which I need to do 3 days a week. So my estimated mileage is roughly 19k per year (assuming commute plus about 4k non-commute). I'm excited for FSD which will may my commute much more relaxing (extra $1200/year).

My question is whether it makes sense to lease or buy.

  • The cash cost is $44K pre tax or about $49K post tax (I'm in NorCal).
  • A 24/15k lease would cost $18K incl. tax plus $2k for extra miles (so $20K total).
  • A 36/15k lease costs $21k incl tax, plus $3k for extra miles so $24k total.

Hence I'm either paying $8k per year for 3 years or $10K per year for 2 years.

As a new Tesla owner, I the 24mo lease allows me to get out if I hate the car or upgrade to a new model sooner as I know the tech is advancing quickly.

Given my situation would you (1) Buy, (2) Lease 24mo or (3) Lease 36mo.

I guess buying would make sense but I know EV values tend to plummet fast so not sure how much I would get for it in 2/3 years.

Choosing external antenna for ESP32-S3 within FCC compliance

Can anyone help me choose an external antenna for use with the ESP32-S3-WROOM1U that complies with the pre-cert FCC compliance? Below is what I think is allowed but I'm not 100% sure. Can anyone comment? Thanks!

  • Frequency: 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi/BLE)
  • Max Gain Allowed: ≤ 3.14 dBi
  • Impedance: Exact 50 Ω
  • Connector Type: IPEX/U.FL

Is there a checklist?

I have an idea for a product. It’s an ESP32 based product that will sit in consumers homes. My naive self is thinking this will be easy - I’ll vibe code the software, order the parts, assemble in my garage, run a few Facebook ads, let the orders flow in and it’ll all be simple. Unlikely right?!

So wondering if there is a checklist or guide out there that covers all (or most) of the steps in getting a consumer product from the idea stage to a real business?

Go easy on me please :)

Thanks
