Hardly an invention but I'm looking for a bedside fan with a light, alarm clock and potentially a wireless charger.

There's probably a reason this doesn't exist, maybe a spinning thing and charging thing in one device is not smart. But I'd be content without the charger.

A light, fan and clock all-in-one would be nice.

I was spat at tonight. First time.

Genuine question following an incident on shift tonight.

If a person with a blood borne disorder, HIV, Hepatitis etc, spits at someone, should that be treated as an assault with a biological weapon?

If someone were to load up a barrel of Hepatitis spit and spray a crowd perhaps that's what they'd be charged with. I don't know.

I'm not entirely clear on the technicalities of what is assault, battery, GBH/ABH. Pick whichever one is an isolated spitting incident.

This was not a patient. We were on standby when a member of the public, who we had zero prior dealing with, walked passed and spat at me through my half open window.

Police called and the person was arrested for an assault on emergency worker.

I don't know if he had anything untoward with his blood. But just as an open question. Should incidents like this be classed as a biological weapon attack if there is a known blood disorder?

I know nothing will happen. I'm just angry.

American independence

Today the US of A will delight in kicking our arse 250 years ago.

Today we sit back, drink our tea and think "crisis averted".

Sugar anyone?
