Resources to get better at teaching

Hello!! I just started teaching English online and my credentials are just that I have a degree and got a 120 hour TEFL certificate. Now I have about 15 students on Preply and to be honest…I don’t feel qualified and need resources to feel confident that I’m actually helping my students get better. Most of them are about an advanced B2/C1 and want to improve fluency, I struggle with that because I feel like they talk so well and we just have conversations about varying topics but how do I make them get better? I also would love suggestions on any free videos or courses to take. Some of my students are also lower level as in A2/B1 and I do vocab/grammar/speaking lessons but I’m really struggling with a proper structure and ensuring I’m building on what they’re learning. Like I don’t know how to have a plan for my students and how to continuously build up their skills. I’m ranting now lol I just don’t feel like the TEFL certification really taught me anything useful and I really want to feel confident in teaching.

TLDR: I need free resources/courses/videos to build my own teaching confidence in how to structure lessons and ensure students can see progress

When do rentals start

Hello, I will be traveling to Valencia and want to do month long rentals. Do those usually start the 1st or 15th of the month or is it more flexible for dates when doing short term rentals?

Only responding to women

Will it negatively affect my profile to only respond to women? My profile is open for new students but I’ve only been on it for 2 weeks and the men are already making me uncomfortable signing up for lessons. I’ve started to just respond to women, is that okay?

Uncomfortable situation w a student

Hello, I am new on the preply platform and learning lots already. I teach english and got a trial student that I felt like was already very good at speaking and said they just want to practice with a native speaker. I have other students like that so I understand it’s a real way to get better at speaking. But this man commented on picking me because I had a beautiful smile, and mentioned how I didn’t have glasses in my video (I had them on in the lesson) and that he would buy me new glasses. Made me feel uncomfortable and now he’s signed up for more lessons with me. Is it okay if I block him and cancel our lesson? Will I get penalized and have my platform be less visible considering it’s still open for students? We’re supposed to have a lesson tomorrow and it’s just daunting me thinking about talking to him and what else he’ll say

Messed up film

Hi! so I got a film camera on ebay and it came with some preloaded film which I decided to use (big mistake:( ) and the pictures came out horrible. I do feel like with a lot of editing of the colors though some of these could come out okay. does anyone have suggestions on how to edit these to get the correct colors??
