Local vexillologist explains the new Oregon City flag.

William Gifford of smALL FLAGs, a bona fide vexillologist, sat down with us to explain Oregon City's new flag: what it symbolizes, how the community shaped the design, and why the old flag had to go.

The new Elite dialogue in CE is so corny it hurts.

"Blasphemous fire incoming" "looking for heresy"

We get it, they're religious nut jobs. But this dialogue is ridiculous. It feels like the way AI sometimes bashes two concepts together with no context or understanding.

By this point we're used to corny dialogue in Halo, but this entry has well and truly taken the biscuit. Cut scenes are like the dialogue you hear in the back seat of your car as a 5 year old smashes toys together. In game dialogue feels like it was one item of some poor underpaid writers long list.

And it wouldn't be frustrating if this was a plucky indie studio with a tight deadline. But this is the flagship game franchise of one of the biggest companies in the world.

At the end of the day I'm enjoying it. But only because of the nostalgia. The campaign remix is quite fun too. I hope new players are having a blast.
