help! des & rhino surgery back-to-back days
question for those who have experience with double eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty. i originally planned for same day surgery at 2 separate clinics. my eye doctor said it would take 2-3 hours for waiting time/prep/recovery. so i scheduled nose clinic accordingly (eye surgery 10am and nose surgery 2pm).
since i’m now a month out (eek!), i double checked that i was all set and the eye office said budget 4-5 hours, which would mean i would be late to my nose office. the eye office extended the time frame because they wanted to account for anesthesia recovery, but they said there’s a chance i could make my 2pm nose appt, just no promises.
i’ve been trying to coordinate with each office and they will not budge on the scheduling, so my option is to either take the chance and keep both surgeries on the same day, but if i’m late, nose doctor will cancel my appt. OR schedule nose surgery for the next day, but i worry that i will be swollen and it will effect my nose doctors ability and then my results will suffer or he can’t perform surgery at all. my preference would be same day, so i can heal the same time and swelling won’t be as bad, but then i’m worried my eye results will suffer because the doctor will feel rushed because i’ll be worried about making my nose appt.
has anyone done them back to back days and it was fine? or should i take my chances and try to make it happen on the same day? what do i do?! please help!!!
the current plan for my eyes is double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and forehead lift. nose is no implant, bulbous tip correction, hump reduction, and tip projection (using septal cartilage, and ear cartilage if needed) and rhinitis surgery.
also, i’m lowkey freaking out again because it’s coming up soon! like what if i regret it?! but then i go back to potentially regretting not doing it. any words of encouragement or advice would be appreciated! thank you!
