Quack quack, Nathan Talbot/The Night Ripper here! So I'm rather new to truly embracing my identity as a fictionkin, and I see many people talking about mems and how they get them, but honestly? It has me highly confused! I know not every kin will get mems, but I don't know what would be considered a mem or just a headcanon of mine that I randomly come up with, since I most likely struggle with maladaptive day dreaming... And, y'know, for the life of me, I just can't seem to find anything going in depth about what getting mems are like or if there's anything specific that can trigger them- it's just a topic that likes eluding me in general, and it's pissing me off! Quack!
So, for anyone who DOES get mems, I think what I want to ask is just a simple rundown: what is getting mems like? Is there a way to tell a difference between a mem or just one's mind coming up with something new? Hell, am I just stressing about this too much? I am heavily unsure... sigh...
