Is this vorticella?

New shrimp keeper here! I’ve had blue jelly neos in a planted tank for about a week now. No fish, but plenty of snails. Noticed a few of them have this spiky white stuff on their heads. Easiest to see in the video but I’ll add pics in a comment below. Can’t tell if its food or a parasite or what and I don’t want to panic too quickly.

Was planning on a water change today, and was going to add an almond leaf and an airstone, but I don’t want to stress them out too fast if I need to medicate them.

Black and white moth in Ontario

This cutie was on my deck the other morning, I love how the markings make it look like it has a tiny opossum face! Crawled around for a few hours until I moved him to the bushes. The white part was pretty fluffy. What is it? Southern Ontario, Canada.
