With friendlies coming up against Luxembourg and Greece who do we want to see get a run ? What team should Baldini be playing ? Lots of talk of a big fraction of the Under 21’s getting a senior debut .

I know this topic sucks given World Cup starts in a month and we should be talking about our World Cup squad but let’s look forward and to reality

Looking at this XI of Italian players, it feels like many were once seen as core pieces of Italy’s next generation .. all candidates to be starting players for Nazionale RIGHT NOW…. but for different reasons, a lot never fully hit the level many expected. ( yes miretti , cambiaso etc still have time )

Whether it was consistent injuries, poor club choices, lack of game time, attitude, inconsistency, or simply being overhyped.. !!???!!

Whilst we hav ultimately been let down by the current first team Azzurri players in World Cup qualifications. Does this group (lineup) stand out as the players who should have been more than what they are proving to be right now ?
