Is this early herding behavior?
Knox is around 11 weeks old and I attached a few clips because I’m curious if she’s showing early herding instincts already or if this is mostly normal puppy behavior. I’ve noticed some stalking and crouching, a lot of fixation, circling, and trying to control movement at times. Every once in a while she’ll also stalk / crouch toward my older dog, which I’m trying to discourage since my older dog is 14 and doesn’t really want much to do with her.
She’s from working lines and I’m interested in eventually doing sports/training with her when she’s older, so I’d love opinions from people familiar with sporting as well as border collies or herding breeds on what you see in the videos.
