Long-time road tripper/car & tent camper looking to buy a van (already done or custom build-out) within the next year. One of the joys of roadtripping for me is driving my car fast around back roads, the thrill of good car performance, etc. For example, my latest car is a GTI that I've been car-camping in - I'm a short woman.

I know I can't drive like that with the eventual van, but wondering if you all could weigh in on: 1) any particular van models known to be more agile than others; and 2) what elements in a van (ie height, tire size, suspension, etc.) should I aim for? Thank you so much in advance!

To all you Roadtrippers out there, just giving you a piece of advice – pretty much the entire east & west I 70 through Missouri is under construction. It’s a stressful and aggravating drive that will add who knows how long to your travel time. Good for them for using President Biden‘s infrastructure money across the entire state, but I suggest you avoid it if possible. Just a tip from me to you!

On my big cross-country road trip from DC to California & about to hit Knoxville. I’m hungry and love local food recs. Anybody have a favorite place in Knoxville you’d recommend? Thx!
