My idea is to convince adult mosquitoes that these buckets are the best places in the area to lay their precious eggs, I use my pond water and add some vegetable debris. Every 3 days I empty the buckets on the concrete, after I take some larvae for my fishes.

Will it limit the amount of adults I'll see flying in my yard this summer? I mean, mosquitoes will lay their many but limited eggs somewhere around whether I provide buckets or not, but if I do, and if they lay them in there, I can intervene negatively in their success, right?

Of course I must remember to empty the buckets.
