Insurance Companies and Permits

We're looking at adding Anker Solix E10 system to our existing grid-tied solar. Utility companies in Michigan are not very solar friendly, so even though we produced more than we used last month, our bill was still $150. Adding a battery would help offset that. We're very capable of doing this DIY, my question is regarding homeowners insurance in case there is a fire. How have you navigated your homeowners insurance when adding batteries to your solar DIY?

I called our insurance and they said the system would need to be "professionally installed by a licensed contractor." :(
