Teaching kids to tie a figure 8
I'm looking for alternative ways to teach kids how to follow through on their figure 8. I work with some kids with a wide range of disabilities. Some of them really want to learn how to tie into their harness themselves. A few understand the "follow the rope" technique, but others get a little lost when they pull the tail end of the rope through. Are there mnemonic devices or stories like the bowline knot's "the rabbit comes out of the hole"?
