For context, there is a limited cinema screening of episode 38-41, and episode 42 that is supposed to air tomorrow. I'm not going to talk about the content of the episode, but please look forward for it!
So, on the 2nd slide I have also put ticket for another Beatbreak screening of the first episode from Digimon Expo almost a year ago, about two weeks early from the actual air date.
Let me be honest, the first screening was fun, but it was quite modest. It was in a partitioned room with small stage and projector. This time it's an actual cinema theatre. Granted, it's a cinema named Toei Joy and literally located across Toei Museum, but they definitely put it in the best room available. We sure come a long way since then.
The episode itself, 38 and 39 kinda looks obviously upscaled, but 40-42 was pretty good even in big screen. Kinda miss watching Digimon in theatre since the last one I saw was 02TB.
The talk session was uploaded here for anyone interested.
This might be obvious, but the director has confirmed that it will be 49 episode total. No break, no extra episode. There's still a lot of things to be revealed and so the rest of the episode will be very packed.
"Hey, Agumon! Wake up! If Sora chewed us up for being late for the gathering, I'm totally throwing you under the bus, okay?"
Second picture is just something I fish up from failed draft. Third picture, I went to Odaiba today and it was hella hot lol
For starter, something to make clear first:
- I already tried everything I could, medical tweezer, heating needels, instant glue, noting worked.
- I have replacement pen, a Bamboo Ink, it got terrible battery and kinda inconvenient but worked kinda well. I was about to throw this one out as I can't fix it ad buy a new one. But decided to try some radical methods first.
- It's Lenovo E-Color Pen, with Wacom AES.
So as title said, I cut it up with cutter and easily pushed the broken nib out from inside.
There's a smaller pen inside. The outer part has wire layer that touched the small metal ring on inner pen tip.
Glued the cut up shards to make it into sturdy rings and taped the tip of the inner pen. Reassembled the outer casing with tape so I could easily disassemble it when the nib unfortunately broke again... hopefully.
It looked ugly, but worked like new after a proper tape structure and new nib. And more importantly doesn't cost more than $50, probably just $1 to buy the glue.
Barely any spoiler but I'll tag it just in case. They called last break New Year break. This time they called it World Cup break lol.
About the interlude, they talked about the Starmon episode, calling it finally something that fit the Sunday morning slot. They're fully aware of what they did with Tactics arc.
Han mentioned that one of the direction she (and Miyu) received for their role is, they don't need to be a hero. She also mentined that initially she planned to do the finishing move in next episode to be somewhat solemn, but the director want it to be emotional.
Han also shared what makes her loves Beatbreak more than Adventure since she comes from the Adventure generation. Which is that Beatbreak addressed the problems of this era and wished Digimon as a series will continue with this direction in the future.
Some funny details of the Brilliant Thorns initial setting, the humans got along very well, the digimons fought a lot.
About Chiropmon and Pristimon evolution in this arc. As stated in previous talk session, they don't want it to be cheap. Each evolution need to have their own stories and growth to back it which resulted it took this long. On other hand, they talk about Makoto who seems to think a lot but tends to do what he wanted vs Reina who looks always doing what she wanted but actually thought a lot. In the end they finally able to grow up is whag triggered the evolution.
On topic of evolution, the song 'Answer' is meant to be the team song for Glowing Dawn while 'Edge of Limit' is more Tomoro and Asuka's song. They also joked that 'Answer' lyrics kinda fit Reina more.
The mass cursed Cougarmon dolls in Mummymon episode was not planned as part of Kyo's character setting. The writer in charge just went off rail and write it in, and the director just gave an ok because it's funny. They're also impressed some people noticed that Reina actually keeped one in her room.
On room topic, they have a rough setting material for the base including all their personal rooms. They're still thinking to release it or not. They joked that Makoto's room is probably the most unhinged with his love for horror and occult stuff. Kyo's a secret because it's nice to keep a secret lol.
On a little interesting side note, the director mixed up Kaito and Raito's name a few times lol.
