Need Help Downloading Douyin on a New iPhone in the U.S.

I'm in the United States and recently upgraded to a new iPhone. I transferred all of my data from my old phone, but for some reason the Douyin app didn't transfer over. I'm not trying to create a Douyin account, I just want to install the app again.

So far I've changed my App Store country/region to China, and can view the Douyin app in the App Store, but it still won't let me download it.

I have a few questions:

  1. Would changing my Apple ID region to China (instead of just the App Store region) allow me to download the app?
  2. I've heard that using a VPN connected to China can help. Is that actually true, or does the App Store only care about your Apple ID region?
  3. If a VPN does help, are there any free VPNs that still offer servers in mainland China? Most of the ones I've looked at don't.
  4. Are there any other legitimate methods to install the Douyin app from the U.S. without jailbreaking my iPhone?

Which Burberry scarf should I get as a gift—silk, wool, or cashmere?

I recently bought a Burberry silk scarf as a gift for my girlfriend, but I'm having some second thoughts since I'm still within the return period and could exchange it for something else.

My reasoning for choosing silk was that it seemed more stylish, durable, and practical for the climate we live in. Our weather is generally warm and humid, so I thought a silk scarf would get more use throughout the year compared to a heavier cashmere or wool scarf. It also feels a bit more elegant and versatile for dressing up.

That said, I know the classic Burberry Cashmere Check Scarf is probably their most iconic and popular piece. I love the texture and softness of cashmere, and it seems like the safer choice for everyday wear and long-term value. My concern is that it may spend a lot of time in the closet because of our climate.

I also considered one of the wool scarves. They seem lighter than cashmere, but I'm unsure how well the material holds up over many years of use. Wool also seems less practical for warm weather.

For those who own Burberry scarves, would you keep the silk scarf or exchange it for a cashmere or wool version?

And if I stick with silk, would you recommend the classic Burberry check pattern, or should I lean into the more graphical/artistic designs? My thinking is that silk scarves are naturally more fashion-forward and expressive, so maybe a graphic design makes more sense than the traditional check.

I'd love to hear from anyone who owns multiple Burberry scarves or has gifted one before. Thanks!
