Happened twice last week and now again today. I’ve heard it’s because of work being done near Hawthorne (unannounced) but is there any confirmation on that? Why can’t the city simply communicate these things?

**Update**: Talked to a girl from DPS - essentially they did more work today and didn’t realize the impact would span as far as it did. They turned the hydrants back on and things should be normal by now.

**Update #2**: Emailed Andrew Smith (ward 2 councilor) and he got right back to me, agreed it’s been ridiculous and said they just hired a new city engineer that should hopefully improve communications
