The most recent episode of Cherry Island, was just something of a movie, a good one. First off, my main positive (and the biggest one) is that it’s a Rishy and Vic episode, and that’s just peak. Second, they kinda undid what happened in all of season four, but to be honest, at that point in the story, we had strayed to far from the main stuff. Third, Vic and Rishy using Fin’s island as a villager tent camp was just great, as the island had been long forgotten and kinda abandoned by the narrative after Stu bombed it like 30 eps ago. Another positive was the banter beetwen Stu and Josh. And another good thing was the scale of this Epsiode. It also reminded me of the squid island s1 finale (both endings had someone, or in Cherry islands case, Vic and Rishy, attempting to restore the island to its roots. Both had a king/ruler that was in the way, squid island: jelly, and cherry island: king fin, and both endings involved the end, in squid island, Josh distracted jelly to get an eleytra in the end, and in Cherry island, Vic and Rishy told stu, Josh and fin to go to the end to assert their dominance and truly beat the game) I also liked Fin’s triumphant speech to Josh and Stu, and Josh just jumping to leave was funny. Then the negatives: Rishy and Vic didn’t fully accomplish their goal. Sure they explode the main geode supply, brought back the cherry trees, burned the king’s crown, saved the villagers, and removed all the purple-themed decorations, but there is still another geode mine near the nether portal and Josh’s island, and Fin, Stu and Josh still have all their gear. The episode also ended on a cliffhanger saying “Cherry island will return” which just felt like a squid island s1 finale and avengers doomsday trailer copy (but to be fair, squid island s1 also ended on a cliffhanger, and the first episode of s2 was peak, so maybe that’ll happen again) but what do you guys think?
