We did a thing in Venice Beach
It was a freestyle skateboarding competition called the U.S. Open of Freestyle. This was the first year that the USA Freestyle Skateboarding Association ran the event and we’re leaning a TON. Our big takeaways: keep scoring brief and transparent, splurge on a sound system, and make time & space for folks to skate together.
If you entered the contest, please check your email inbox. You should have an invite to participate in our post-event survey. This helps us make a better contest each year.
