From Ragusa to Palermo

Stimmt, das kannst du problemlos weglassen. Es ändert nichts an der eigentlichen Frage.
Ich würde es so schreiben:
Hi everyone! I changed my itinerary and will be travelling around Sicily without a car.
My biggest concern is getting from Ragusa to Palermo.
What is the best, fastest and most reliable way to travel between the two cities?
Ideally, I’d like a direct connection without changing buses or trains. If that’s not possible, which route would you recommend with the fewest transfers and the shortest waiting times?
I’d really appreciate recommendations from locals or anyone who has done this journey. Thank you! 😊
Das ist kurz, freundlich und bringt genau auf den Punkt, was du wissen möchtest.

Solo trip to Sicily without a car – Need advice!

Hi everyone!
I’m planning a solo trip to Sicily at the end of August and I’m really excited. 😊
My original plan was to rent a car, but after checking the prices I’ve realized it’s unfortunately over my budget. A rental car with full insurance for about a week starts at around €700, and that’s before fuel and parking, so I’ve decided to plan the trip without a car instead.
My current itinerary is roughly:
1 night in Ortigia
2 nights in Ragusa
3 nights on the west coast (I was thinking about Castellammare del Golfo or San Vito Lo Capo)
Palermo
Cefalù
Taormina
Back to Catania
Originally I wanted to stay in a beautiful accommodation in the hills around Scopello or San Vito Lo Capo with sea views and use a car to drive to the beaches and nearby places. Since I won’t have a car anymore, I’m not sure if that’s the best idea.
So I’d love to ask for your advice. Which town on the west coast would you recommend if I’m relying entirely on public transport? I’m looking for a place that’s easy to reach by bus or train, where I can get to a beautiful beach on foot or with a short bus ride, and ideally also visit places like Scopello and the Zingaro Nature Reserve.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations, especially from locals or people who have travelled around Sicily without a car. Thank you so much!
