Our Experience with RNG Immigration Consultancy (BC)

I wanted to share my experience with RNG Immigration Consulting to provide insight for anyone considering their services.

After receiving our Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR), we started working on our documents, thinking we could do a DIY approach. However, my husband and I both got stressed out and overwhelmed, so we approached RNG Immigration Consulting for assistance with our PR application and document verification. The consultant agreed to review our application for CAD 2500, which is half of his typical processing fee according to him, which seemed like a fair deal.

Our first call with the consultant was less than 30 minutes and took place 29 days before our application was due. During this call, we didn't receive any guidelines or substantial advice. The consultant mentioned he would check my GCKey profile, which he did two days later. He confirmed everything looked good and sent a few reminders about the required documents, but he didn't address the specific concerns we had raised.

As the process continued, we sent follow-up questions to the consultant, but his responses were sparse and unhelpful. He often cited various excuses, such as traveling or being sick. On one occasion, he claimed to have replied directly to my email, even though I hadn't sent an email at all because we were communicating via a messaging service.

A week before our application deadline, we had all our documents ready and requested that he view our shared Google Drive folder to provide his assessment. Despite our repeated requests, he didn't respond. After waiting for days without a reply, we called him. To our surprise, he got very angry and yelled at us, insisting it wasn't his responsibility to report his every move and claiming he had been in constant communication (which was not true).

Feeling frustrated and uneasy after being yelled at, we decided to send him a notice of termination the next day. When we informed him of our decision, he called and asked us to reconsider, arguing it would be wasteful to cancel just three days before the due date. However, we were firm in our decision, which made him angry. He complained that he lost money by taking on our case (even though he still charged us 500 CAD) because we are terminating his services, despite not having provided any meaningful input on our documents.

Our experience with RNG Immigration Consulting was disappointing and stressful. We received minimal guidance, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior from the consultant. I hope this helps others make an informed decision about using their services.

[36C] and [34C] bras (H&M, VS, La Vie En Rose)

I'm selling these because I recently had a proper bra fitting and realized they were all a few sizes too small. They're all very gently used and in excellent condition. (I still have the digital receipts for the VS and La Vie bras.)

Prices are listed in CAD. I'm also open to trading for Nike sports bras in size M (F–G) or 34F bras. Shipping will be ahouldered by the buyer and is available within Canada, and possibly to the US (I'd just need to check shipping costs first).

Keychron K8 Down Arrow not Working

Hi all,

I've had my Keychron K8 (RGB Backlight, blue switches) for almost 3 years now. I've never made any modifications to it (never replaced keycaps or switches). My down arrow stopped working a few weeks ago, so I reached out to Keychron Support and they gave me these basic troubleshooting steps which I tried but to no avail:

  • Swapping the switch with another one from a key that works
  • Factory reset

They said that the issue might be with the board itself and since the device is 3 years old then they could no longer help me. I think it's such a waste to discard it just because one key is not functioning so I was wondering if any of you might have suggestions on how to fix it.

Some notes:

  • I read somewhere that bending the pins a tiny bit might fix it, but I'm not sure if I bent it enough and I'm too scared.
  • I have not tried updating the firmware, but am planning to do it once I exhaust all my options. (Again, scared that I might irreversibly damage the whole thing.)

TIA!
