The following morning, the rest of the Straydogs alongside the Wasp team leader arrive at the coastal city after the Propolis seniors requested additional cleanup support. Though they’re on a mission but their outfits suggest otherwise. The first thing they do upon stepping off the bus is strip down to their swimsuit. Seeing the Wasp girl handles the Pet Shop guys in her swimsuit and instead flustered when Jaesong tells her to take it easy is so funny. Meanwhile, Dohwa and Woochang flex their muscle power by rearranging heavy shipping containers while turning the labor into a petty contest.

By evening, the crews prepare for departure, Dohwa is nowhere to be found. Hyeseong tosses his bag aside and dashes to the only location he thinks she might be at. At the local daycare, he spots Dohwa sitting alone and quietly watching the kids play. Saying that she’s about to leave anw, she questions why would he’s worrying about her (IM STRONG AS HELL MTFK - Dohwa didn’t say that). Hyeseong tells her to cut the act, pointing out that he can always tell she’s struggling by looking at her tail, and that’s it’s been like that ever since Junhyung left. Caught off guard in the moment, Dohwa tries to deflect but Hyeseong suggests her to confide in him instead of hiding things all the time. Dohwa calls Hyeseong a pervert for looking at her butt and then breaks down crying on his shoulder.

After a while, the duo returns wearing horse masks, lying that they were at a nearby festival. In reality, Dohwa felt embarrassed if anyone knowing she cried, while Hyeseong also puts one on so she wouldn’t look out of place. After the mission (trip) wraps up, new doors open for some while closing for others: Hyeseong wonders if a spark has ignited between him and Dohwa, while Bom is pissed off watching Suchan and Heijin holding hand all the time.

Back at NEST, Songha meets up with San at the indoor pool to deliver the rare mushroom. When he questions why a pool, to which San replies she just wanted to get into the spirit after hearing everyone was at the beach, since she’s still on probation and is not allowed to participate in outdoor activities. San admires Songha efforts and he beams like a loyal errand boy with pride (wait… could it be…), he then says if only she could admire his feelings the same (I KNEW IT). San coldly rewards him by stepping on his face asking if men don’t enjoy when the woman they love do this. Switching to her professional mode, she verifies whether Songha give it the anyone else, revealing its other serious side effect. The mushroom is secretly an aphrodisiac that can last up to over than a week. The scenes switched to Suchan, he’s taking a shower and staring at his lower body like there’s something wrong…

After asking Ara about Huijin’s whereabouts, Suchan learns she was last met with Songha, to make the matters worse, Ara warns him that Songha has a bad track record with women. Flying along the coastline in anxiety, he eventually spots footprints leading to a cave and dives straight inside.

The cave is very deep and has a confusing layout. After navigating around for a while, Suchan stumbles upon them. Songha has his hand on an unconscious Huijin’s cheek, like he’s about to kiss her. Blinded by rage, Suchan delivers a punch that sends Songha flying in the blink of an eye. Songha quickly claims it’s all a misunderstanding, but Suchan doesn’t give af and even threatens to neuter Songha for good (I’m scared…save me mommy). Suddenly, a swarm of insect-humans surrounds them. A man - likely their leader speaks up, saying he’s finally cornered those “NEST bastards” which means there was a conflict between them not long ago.

Songha tells Suchan the truth. Earlier, he had asked Huijin to help locate a rare mushroom only grows in this area using her antenna. He couldn’t tell the seniors because if they ever discovered the mushroom’s true properties, they’d rip him in half. Songha explained that leaf-cutter ants can only cultivated mushrooms from leaves, they’re not good at finding fungi fr other sources, meanwhile cockroaches are excel at detecting molds. Huijin initially hesitated, but the moment Songha let her in on the mushroom’s secret effect, she instantly agreed to help. Their hunt quickly turned into a mess when they stumbled upon a group of Pet Shop runaways hiding in the cave. The leader is a Mushroom Worm so he’s immune to Songha’s complex. He consumed several mushrooms to boost strength and knocked Huijin out with a poison attack. Songha considered fleeing for backup, but after hearing Huijin mumble about wanting to reconcile with Suchan in her unconscious (maybe she’s experiencing hallucinations), he refused to abandon her. Songha temporarily halted them with his claws attack (how the fck does he do that? Another mystery!), grabbed Huijin and retreated.

Back in the present, Songha urges Suchan to leave with Huijin while he handles the mob. Instead, Suchan coldly grabs Songha’s shoulder demanding to know the mushroom’s true effect, to which Songha promises to spill the tea once everything is settled down. No need further explanation, Suchan enters combat mode and makes quick work of the crowd.

The next morning, Huijin wakes up on the beach to see Suchan sitting beside her. Suchan pulls out the mushroom and reveals he had known of its “truth serum” effect, causing whoever consumes it blurt out their deepest feelings. Huijin admits she originally planned to eat it so she wouldn’t chicken out again. Reflecting on his journey, Suchan looks at Huijin and finally replies to her - “I like you, too”. The final panel cuts to a half eaten mushroom lying on the sand as the story comes to an end (so our boy ate it oopsie)

After confessing her feelings, Huijin begins second-guessing her bold move. Contrary to her thoughts, Suchan kisses her! “Is it okay?” - he asks, Huijin is too stunned to speak (bro just has to drop the most misunderstood line possible right after the climax)

With Joshua gone and leaving a mountain of work behind, NEST met with short-staffed during their cleanup at the port. To compensate, they assign the Propolis to assist. After wrapping up most of the cleaning, they decide to treat themselves with a beach trip. For the first time we see Propolis without their uniform. Jaesong has multiple black marks across his body (unclear whether they’re fr his complex, tattoos or scars). Songha looks pretty built without his magician costume, but for unknown reason still keeps his hat on. And there’s Ara… well I realized her swimwear is just her uniform without the cloak lol.

Bom grumbles about Jaesong dragging her along without prior notice, forcing her to borrow swimwear fr Daun and Hyeona. Jaesong insists she HAS TO COME, her power wrecked the terrain during the ambush, requiring her complex to restore it. Turning around, Bom asks Suchan for his opinion on her swimsuit. Suchan, however, is disassociating fr reality. It is revealed that last night, after his questionable question, Huijin freaked out and jumped off the balcony. His stupid ass believed the kiss and that terrible phrasing equal “HOW WAS MY ANSWER?”(helppp). Humiliated, he asks Ara to dig a grave and burry him (she built a mini pyramid instead). Suddenly, Suchan spots Huijin and Songha holding hands in the distance. He springs out of the tomb with the look as if he just witnessed Joshua revived.

Earlier, Huijin found a quiet place to reflect on last night incident. In that moment, she had assumed Suchan meant “IS IT OKAY IF WE DO IT?” that’s why she was startled and ran away. Out of nowhere, Songha approached fr behind, reaching for her waist, she stops his hand just in time. Songha nonchalantly claimed he was merely trying to remove the Portuguese man o' war off her back (nah as if we didn’t know u just pulled that thing and ur sorry ass excuse out of ur hat). Even after Huijin clarified that venom doesn’t affect her, Songha still grabbed her hand and saying that a debt is a debt and demanding a favor. Back in the present, Suchan aggressively intervenes Songha fr getting closer to Huijin. Facing a menacing aura fr a guy who defeated Joshua, Songha has no option but to back off… for now.

Later that evening while grilling meat, Suchan asks Hyeseong for some dating advices, to which Hyeseong tells him to stop ovtk and just talk to her directly. When they bring food over to the table, Yuhyang inform them that Huijin has been disappeared for an hour. The scene switches to a desolate lighthouse, Huijin lies unconscious on the ground, knocked out by Songha’s mushrooms. Standing over her, Songha grabs her antenna with a weird expression on his face (I can’t tell if he’s having bad intentions or he’s stepping up as the new villain)

Just like Beyoncé once said “ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks” or wtv, Breeder body begins to crumble. He catches a final glimpse of Suchan before entering the mental realm in his child form. Breeder asks Suchan what he plans to do now that he has destroyed humanity’s only path to evolution. Suchan admits he also feels uncertain, but points out there are people who are working tirelessly to make the world better (Prof Ji, Carly and Prof Ma make a cameo as he saying this), and he will simply do his best to aid them. Before vanishing completely, Breeder requests Suchan to deliver his message to Prof Ma: combining Meganeura and high-concentration oxygen was a brilliant idea.

A few days later, headlines regarding the bombing attack and 2 insect-humans in Gangwon break the internet. Students at Suchan’s former school are discussing the news. Some dimiss insect wings as disgusting (meh losers), while others think they look cool. The incident was massive, NEST couldn’t cover it up this time. Protests break out worldwide, the risk of a secret insect-human society getting exposed is high. To deal with the fallout, Prof Ma holds a press conference to address the matter. He claims that the 2 individuals was accidentally turned into insect-human after stumbling upon the Jungle Juice Project, the event occurred due to improper supervision. Reporters ask all kind of question, including organizations involve in this project. To which Prof Ma replies the project was conducted in collaboration with a criminal organization whose the key figures are all dead, leaving him as the only one left. He’s willing to take full responsibility.
His plan successfully shift the public perception of insect-human fr monsters to victims.

Watching the conference fr his hospital bed, Suchan gets sad and all. Prof Ji comforts him, saying NEST still has so much things to do, cleaning up the mess Breeder made, tracking down the remaining Pet Shop, and restructuring,… so this is the best move rn. Suddenly, the squad storms into the room, the girls immediately rush to Suchan and hug him, making Hyeseong pisses. Outside, Dowun (The Dean) is having a conversation with a woman fr the government, saying it’s time for his retirement. When she expresses concern over whether NEST can handle the global chaos alone, Dowun reminds her that there are Jungle Juice issues overseas, someone has to take care of it and quietly walks away.

NEST built a memorial hall for the Pet Shop victims, everyone including a young girl fr the orphaned are paying Junhyeong a visit. Hyeseong notices Dohwa is very upset. However, in the evening at the dorm, when the gang holds a party, and she pulls a complete 180. The Pet Shop members at the scene are currently detained in a deeper underground prison, can only be accessed with digging complexes. Bidan is bawling her eyes out over her master’s death, while Skye is having the time of her life due to sharing a same cell with Launcher (there’s no mention and no sight of Sloth at all boo). Hansung slowly returns to his normal form (he regains his old face but he’s still very big lol), Carly officially becomes a prof at NEST.

Late that night, Suchan wakes up and finds everyone is gone. Only Huijin in the room, wearing a scary expression, she asks if he enjoyed being surrounded by all the girls. He panics and tries to come up with an excuse. Huijin leans in close and whispers in his ears “I like you”. Suchan flushes and the story ends.

Where tf is my boy Sloth, Ara and Songha??? Anw see you guys in the spin-off~~~

Completely unable to accept that he just lost to a college student, Breeder gets back up and flees to “that place”. It is revealed to be Suchan’s hometown, “conveniently” located nearby and already filled with Jungle Juice bombs installed by Pil with the remaining of their ambush.

Suchan chases after Breeder. But as soon as Suchan spots people, his muscles memory and past trauma triggered immediately, making him quickly goes into hiding. Breeder flashes a gloating smile and continues running to the most crowded area. Everyone is gagged to see him floating in the air. Claiming that he needs to devour more insect-humans to become more invincible, Breeder presses the detonator. All the bombs go off, sending the crowd into chaos, some of them start live-streaming lol.

Meanwhile, in a corner, Suchan struggles to regain his composure. All the painful memories returns and causes him to doubt himself. Just as he’s at the brink of collapsing, the image of Huijin promising to always be by his sides flashes by, finally giving him the strength to act.

Over at NEST, everyone is also watching the livestream, where the comment is flooded with comments “It’s AI”. Suddenly, Suchan appears on the screen. Breeder traps Suchan in his webs so everyone can have a full HD look at the boy. Thinking Suchan will be fazed by this, Breeder proceeds to devour him. Suchan simply shrugs off the webs and punches the shit out of him. When Breeder attempts to use his Origin, Suchan’s Blackout Control makes a comeback, quickly renders Breeder useless. Seeing the Jungle Juice gas begins to spread toward the civilians, Suchan abandons the fight, he rapidly flies in circles to form a massive tornado, trapping the gas inside. The NEST crew rejoices as they watch his plan succeed.

Refusing to be defeated, Breeder declares everything is not over and he just need 1 insect-human to turn the tide. Out of desperation, he starts eating his own hand (bro found the cheatcode). His missing arm grows a new one, taking the form of a combined chimera-ish spider fusion of every spider in existence (easily exceeding a 5000 words count). Faces with a tough situation, Suchan remembers Junhyung’s advice about “letting something passes through one’s body instead of fighting against it”… idk. Suchan just flies head first into Breeder’s ginormous deformed arm. He penetrates it with ease and gives Breeder a Gojo treatment!

Before diving into the battle, Suchan has a brief telepathic meeting with Meganeura in his mind. He convinces the dragonfly to have faint in him, reminding it that everyone is counting on them. Huijin opens her eyes just in time to see Suchan promising to make it quick and return.

The battle kicks off with Suchan dragging Breeder out of NEST, while others are having trouble with the corpses. Pil breaks free and commands the corpses to pursue and protect Breeder (Sky and Bruce aren’t dead so why tf are they being controlled too? I noticed this last week but wasn’t sure enough to mention it). However, the swarm gets electrocuted by the enchanted Launcher. Kneeling in HER tattered clothes, Pil (did you know Pil is a she???) is confused as to why Launcher turned his back on them. To which, Launcher simply replies that he “has opened his eyes”, the new human world Breeder tries to create is not for them, and he refuses to let anyone else end up like Antonio (did you actually get enlightened or are you saying this under Nanami’s spell?).

Anw, back to the main show, Breeder summons the Black Widow Spider to ambush Suchan. Sensing the danger, Suchan quickly remove himself fr Breeder. Breeder compliments on Suchan fast reflexes and also makes some nasty comments about him. Like how Suchan was a pathetic loner in his human life; escaped death multiple times thanks to his friends;… The trash talk successfully distracts Suchan, allowing Breeder to ensnare him in Darwin’s Bark webs. To finish him off, Breeder channels the terrifying power of an ancient spider - Mongolarachne through his arm.

Snaping out of his daze, Suchan punches him while calling Breeder’s true name out loud - Joshua Bryer! Suchan reveals that he had learnt of Breeder’s past after asking Prof Ma about the man he had to execute. Prof Ma provided him with videos regarding the history of Jungle Juice project, retrieved fr the Baltic Sea. In the footage, a young Breeder is being interrogated. Flipping through the files documented about him, the psychiatrist asks if Joshua killed people because he couldn’t stand being left alone. Breeder immediately dropped his flippant attitude and glared at the doctor as if he wanted to devour the man alive. A triggered Breeder chokes Suchan and screams at him to shut up, desperately denying Suchan’s words and claiming he’s doing God’s work.

Suchan chops off the spider limbs on Breeder’s back and prepares his next move. Feeling the overwhelming aura, Breeder deploys the Trap Door Spider shield for defense. We then get a series of panels showcasing everyone fr NEST turning their eyes toward this exact moment, as if they are placing a bet or sum. Suchan pierces through the shield with ease and completely annihilates that Breeder’s arm.

Huijin and Nanami resurfaces with the inhaler in hand. Huijin has a flashback to Prof Yu talked about the device while she was casually tying up Sloth (turn out he really didn’t do shit, just lazy and starving). It’s called AirVision - the final version Prof Ma perfected by consolidating the collective knowledge of every professor at NEST. It replicates the atmosphere of the Carboniferous period - the natural habitat of Meganeura. All the while Sloth is just whining for food in the background lol.

However, Suchan is too far away. With no other option, Huijin prepares to swim across. The moment she dives into the water, massive bubbles appear and a mysterious figure emerges from the water. The Wasp Team pours every efforts shooting at Breeder but they are brutally wiped out by a single swing of his arm. Breeder unleashes Junhyeong’s Hydra technique to strike down Suchan. Jaesong shields him fr the blast, allowing Suchan to fly at high speed in every directions to confuse Breeder. Utilizing the vision of the Jumping Spider through his Origin, Breeder locks on Suchan and successfully catches him with the Nest Casting Spider. Declaring Suchan must be eliminated while still in his imperfect stage, Breeder executes the final blow.

Bom burrows out fr the ground and rescues Suchan just in time. Breeder hurls Darwin’s Bark webs at the 2, but Prof Ji intercepts the attack by burning them away. Suchan grabs Bom and goes looking for Huijin. What they didn’t anticipate was that Breeder has learned the power of mimicking through his research on Blackout. Breeder invokes Mihee’s Necromancy, raising a swarm of corpses to block their path. He then traps Prof Ji in his Fishbowl and sarcastically challenges him to showcase the “human strength” they always boast about. Prof Ji simply smirks and tells Breeder to take a look for himself.

Stray Dogs steps up to fend off the zombies, clearing the way for Suchan and Bom. Fr afar, Suchan hears Huijin’s voice as she rides on top of San’s Bubble Golem (the mysterious figure is just San phew). Suddenly, Sky ambushes them fr above, kicking Huijin off the golem. Daun and Hyeon catch Huijin, urging her to keep moving while the rest of the group handle the zombies. Preacher and Tracker also join but are swiftly taken out by Hyeseong and Dohwa.

Witnessing all this, Breeder starts to realize that these humans may be weak individually, their combined strength poses a threat to his plan. Ofc his ignorance ass is to stubborn to admit anything (Breeder stop it, denial is a river in Egypt). Seeing Suchan and Huijin closing the distance, Breeder stirs everything up with Darwin’s Bark webs again. However, a sudden shiver runs down his spine. Yup, it’s too late, Suchan already took it in. Tick tock, mothafcka!

Although surprised that Mihee has taken control of Eden’s body, Breeder quickly collects himself and uses his webs to secure the wound. He launches a combined assault of water and Goliath Birdeater hairs, but Eden dodges with ease.

Eden goes straight for Breeder’s head, but is stopped with the Darwin’s Bark webs. Comforting himself that every experiment can have a minor flaw, Breeder asks Eden who is he? To which Eden replies that he is the new ruler, top of the food chain, and Suchan’s friend (LOL IM DEADDDDD). Breeder is too stunned to speak, and he starts throwing a tantrum. Prof Ma arrives at the scene, explaining it was the human’s emotions Breeder always dismissed that led his ultimate failure. Mihee’s emotions, reawakened by Suchan, were so strong that it is able to suppress Adam’s consciousness.

End of the line, Eden breaks free fr the webs and drags Breeder toward the Research Center. There, the 2nd phase of their battle takes place. A series of panel mirroring the battle between Breeder and Yusung, and Breeder nearly gets beaten to death. In the nick of time, he borrows the Trapdoor Spider power through his Origin to defend himself, following up with the Net Casting Spider to immobilize Eden. Bitterly admitting to Prof Ma it’s true that he has failed, however, he notes that consumption is still a fundamental thing so… he starts eating Eden alive! (the next panels shows Breeder finishes his meal and discards Eden, but only the head and hair is shown, so it is unknown whether Breeder just takes a bite or devour all of Eden except for the head).

Breeder undergoes a transformation, and everyone is gagged already (calm tf down, the smoke hasn’t even cleared yet. And why tf does everbody have to wait till the end of the transformation to start attacking???). Witnessing his master’s rebirth, Preacher compares this event to “1 Peter 4:17” in the Bibble. The smoke fr the process clears and… I’m not gagged at all. It’s like you slap Breeder’s head on Eden armored body (now in black), spider legs on the head and the back, and has his favorite white trousers on. He uses Darwin’s Bark with tremendous forces to violently stir up the whole NEST. Breeder is quite pleased with his newfound power.

Catching a sight of Suchan, he suddenly remembers the boy is wild card and needed to be eliminated. He rushes at Suchan but is blocked by Jaesong (his 2 legs are fully functional, guess Mihee only exploded his exoskeleton armor). Jaesong contracts Huijin regarding the inhaler, she confirms it is in her possession and ready for delivery (oddly, the panel only shows Huijin and Nanami, where is Prof Yu omg I’m so scared). The chapter ends as Jaesong promises to Suchan that the entire NEST will back him up to defeat Breeder once and for all.
