[NookNooks]

Just found out about the new blind box series called nook, nooks and I’m obsessed. I was really hoping to get the computer character because I really wanted to put it on my desk since I work from home, but I ended up getting the cat detergent which I’m not sad about 🥰

Just play the notes …

So I’ve been on a weight loss journey since 2024—well, let me rewind. I’ve struggled with my weight pretty much my entire life, but it wasn’t until 2024 that I really started taking accountability, trusting the process, and learning what consistency and honestly, faith could do.

So far, I’ve lost a little over 40 lbs. But I can tell you, the number on the scale has definitely discouraged me at times because lately it feels like I’ve just been sitting at the same weight despite doing everything “right.”

The thing is, I’ve never felt better or stronger. I can visually see the changes in my body, but the number on the scale doesn’t always reflect them.
I know I shouldn’t measure my progress by the scale alone, but sooner or later that number has got to give, right?

Right.

I had to remind myself that I used to be in the 3’s. Then I entered the 9’s, fought hard for the 8’s, took what felt like forever to see the 7’s, and finally touched the 6’s. And in every single one of those stages, I experienced highs and lows.

The other day I was out on my walk, beating myself up about swinging back into the 7’s after finally making it to the 6’s, when I thought of a simple analogy for this journey:

Losing weight is a lot like playing the piano. 🎹
There are high notes and low notes. A single note on its own might not sound like much, and sometimes it might even sound completely out of place. But when you string all those notes together, you start to hear the song.

And maybe that’s what I need to remember when the scale goes up.

273 is just one note.
269 is just one note.

There’s still so much left to compose, my song isn’t finished yet so just keep playing the keys 🎹 🎶

Dollhouse design inspo

So I recently purchased an absolute gem of a dollhouse on Facebook Marketplace, and I was immediately inspired to turn it into a cozy little English cottage similar to Rosehill Cottage from The Holiday🥹🏡✨ I asked ChatGPT to come up with a few mock-up ideas, and now I’m even more excited to bring it to life! I’m planning to visit a few dollhouse and miniature shows this year, and I’m already looking forward to the big dollhouse show in Chicago next year.

In the meantime, if anyone has recommendations for miniature artists, makers, or shops I should check out, PLEASE send them my way! I’ve been scouring Etsy like it’s my full time job at this point. 😂🔎🏡

After 30 years , I finally found my dream dollhouse

Look at this gem i found on fb market place #FranklinMintHummingbirdCottage. Saw this on FB marketplace and was literally watching it for 18 weeks, crossing my fingers it would be there when I saved enough money and thankfully was still available. It came with majority of the original furniture and super pleased with how the seller had it on its own turntable for easy access. It weighes about 50lbs, she’s def a solid house and I’m in love with all the details 😍

The house in front was my first real dollhouse in 1:48 scale and I found that at the Chicago miniature show last year.

I must say, I don’t think I’d need another dollhouse after these two. Can’t wait to decorate her for the different seasons.
