Question about external hard drive
Hi I've got a little project with a 2019 laptop. I want to install steam os on it, right now it has windows 10 on it.
The thing is I've got really important stuff on my external hard drive (photos of my father who passed away recently, etc...
From what I've understood from my search on the internet, I'll still be able to check those files on the drive (once I've mounted the drive in desktop mode?) but I won't be able to move them or add to the drive. Is that correct?
If so what would be the best way to be able to access the files while also being able to move them on the laptop/add to the drive?
