Chest of drawers - my hardest project
We’ve a small nock in our house that doesn’t fit a standard size chest of drawers; yet it’s the perfect place for them! Me being me, I thought I’d give building a set ago.
One pile of poplar later and I’d built the carcuss, then birch ply and oak were use for the drawers and the total is a live edge piece of oak that had a bow tail, epoxy treatment.
I’m so impressed with myself, it was complicated and took a lot of thought to get it rights some imperfections, such as the last drawer not gluing square because it was the last one and I rushed it, one set of dovetails wasn’t perfect because the jig slipped and the bow ties could be better.
But, it’s level, square and functions exactly how I expected.
