How close is close enough?
So some handlers can't have their dogs on the floor because they need to be as close to their face as possible to detect whatever it is they're detectin' while this mom has a kid whose olfactory superstar SD detects a glucose change from the pre-k carpool line at school

Honest question...this is a photo of a dog from a legitimate scientific facility that trains medical detection dogs. The dog is training to detect the bacteria Pseudomonas. Scientists here grow and culture the pseudomonas. They verify it with a microscope. It is a KNOWN target with a known odor that the dog is learning to identify and alert to. It's an extremely controlled, step by step process. So how in the hell does absolutely no one question the legitimacy of a dog trained to identify Afib/anxiety/high blood pressure/low blood pressure/dizziness by some random person that stuck a Q-tip in their armpit and claimed that was what A-fib/anxiety/high blood pressure/low blood pressure/dizziness "smelled like"? As if any of those even had a smell. Also, when in doubt just say "cortisol" 😆
SD did wot?
I'm pretty sure you don't need a dog to tell you that your heart rate is 187 and I'm pretty sure that if you sit down and rest it will eventually go down. Thank god "she did her tasks"!
Damn that's detailed
So a witnessed seizure? Because that's a lot of detail coming from someone who's brain 🧠 was crazy misfiring and likely unaware of their environment.
ServICE SKATING
Sure Jan, excellent idea. Pull your SD on a sled around the rink while everyone else tries to safely avoid the obstacle you've created. Or have him "skate" on his own. What TF is wrong with these people? Guess you're stuck with being gloomy.
"Well since you asked..."
Pregnant handler conveniently links her baby registry to her FB Reel.
"Constantly tasking"
I guess no one has to use a leash anymore since tasking now includes "deciding if I need to task".
"I require a medical alert dog for my random losses of consciousness but don't call for medical assistance". It's all starting to make sense now.
Wants to train her SD to also do HRD (Human Remains Detection) 🤦🏼♀️
I kinda want to go just to see how many "service dogs" show up.
