Keloid gone after Cortisol shot
In 2021, I had a mole removed from my back and went to the gym the day after the surgery. The scar turned into a keloid. I had it surgically removed, but it grew back even bigger.
I then found a doctor who injected the keloid with cortisol (see image). He went in with the needle and injected multiple times from different angles. After a couple of days, the keloid completely flattened.
About a year later, it grew back, so I went to the doctor again for another round of injections. Images 1 and 2 were taken a few hours after the injection in August 2023, and it became significantly flatter just a day later. For some reason, after this second round it stayed flat.
Image 3 was taken today, May 2026. It's still red and the area feels very soft and is slightly indented, but the bump is gone and it's no longer itchy.
Hope this helps anyone dealing with the same issue.
