A Case for Home Screen Maximalism
So. Twice now I’ve seen people question why someone would keep collections of apps on their home screen instead of hiding everything away in the App Library for a more minimalist look. My fellow app collectors, there’s nothing wrong with a home screen full of icons. Minimalism is one aesthetic, not the only valid one. Some people genuinely enjoy seeing the tools, colors, memories, and personality they’ve collected over time. Apple used to even encourage multi-app designs until recently. Curating apps can feel like building a tiny personal museum, and a screen packed with icons can be just as intentional and beautiful as an empty one. Maximalism deserves its place too. I'm with you all! 😄
